Are very close, as far as economics goes.
Members of Hezbollah, and members of the Lebanese Army, are both, in general, people dedicated to the defence of Lebanon, earning probably less than $200/week, barely making ends meet.
It is only natural that the Lebanese Army would sympathize with other lower to middle class Lebanese whom the Lebanese government, made up of a bunch of Saudi sponsored billionares, is entirely ignoring.
In the end, this is a battle between the poor Lebanese against the Lebanese upper class. The police services that the Lebanese government is employing to enforce their rules are overpaid mercenaries with inadequate training.
In fact, these pompous arrogant, `policemen` are despised by the army. So it is only natural that the impoverished Lebanese (the Army and Hezbollah) unite against their attempt to exploit them any further. |
