| Jewish votes had traditionally gone 80% to the Democratic candidate. Obama will get less, maybe 50-60%. Since Jews vote in disproportionate numbers, although they are only 2% of the US population they are 3% of the vote and 4% of Democratic voters. They are not a critical bloc but they are an important one. And that is just in voting terms. I think McCain wins this election. Jews are not critical in the vote but they are a "canary in the coal mine"- a Democrat who doesn`t get wide Jewish support has problems. |
