Is the former NSW Labor (right-wing) Premier. Mr Carr presented the Sydney Peace Prize to Palestinian, Dr Hanan Ashwari, November 2003. Certain sections of the Australian Jewish community opposed Dr Ashwari accepting the Sydney Peace Prize in Australia! They obviously have a hard time accepting Australia is different to Israel. Australia is a real democracy! I commend Bob Carr for not caving into the so called Israel lobby!
Israel has excelled in technology. Too bad Israel, the apartheid state, has a deplorable human rights record.
