This has very little to do with the insane zealots in the settlements. It has very much to do with the fact that pal terrorists will do anything they can to enter into israel proper and kill as many israelis as they can.
We celebrate independance and wish like hell that the damn palistinians would get their act together and invest in beneficial progress instead of focusing on hurting us. What benefit could anyone in Israel gain by expending millions of dollars and endless manpower in creating a horrible situation for the pals, other than that when they are locked down at home, they can`t come and try to kill me. Think about the balance for a minute - we take away your freedom of movement (effectively jailing you) for a long weekend, because you expressly declared your intention to take away our lives for good!!! And don`t give me this crap about collective punishment because physically entering pal areas and arresting the threatmakers, is collectively much more damaging to all ofthem |
