For the first 30 or so years of the existence of Israel there was an external threat.
Since the Yom Kippur War, the threat has been largely internal.
It has been founded in two things.
First, there was the desire of Revisionist Zionists to occupy all of the occupied territories and get rid of the Palestinian residents.
Second, there was the insistence by the same folks that under NO circumstances could their program of creating a Greater Israel, which included all of Judea and Samaria must not be questioned.
The Revisionists have succeeded.
Israel has prevented the creation of a Palestine and done all it could to force the residents of Gaza and the West Bank to flee.
It has not worked, instead it has created horror for both sides.
What to do?
What any lunatic does, when one fails, redouble the effort and deny that it ever failed.
Thus, the need to keep Israelis suffering and dying to preserve the dream of Judea and Samaria.
Isn`t it wonderful to die for someone else`s dream? |
