| In most countries girlfriends only become `official` at the engagement.A partner`s legal rights only commence with marriage. This is far from uniquely Israeli or Jewish. It`s the same in most legal systems. Boys become soldiers while still teenagers and at that age one`s girlfriend can change quite often.Again nothing uniquely Jewish about it. |
