in 1972, Rav Goren invalidated the alleged conversion of a man who was married to Mrs Langer, in order to escape the "mamzerut" of the langer children. The Haredim, headed by Rabbi Elyashiv protested, saying you cannot invalidate a conversion ever.
Rabbi Druckman, who was a follower of Rav Goren, conducted covnersions acording ot the Shulchan Aruch. A group of Haredi dayanim, who follow the same Rav Elyashiv, invalidated 1000`s of conversions (which Elyashiv said is not permissible) under the guidance of the same Rabbi Elyashiv.
This has nothgin to do with Jewish Law, but everythig to do with the personal animosiites of Rabbi Elyashiv, and his self contradiction. |
