The USA needs a weak Israeli PM. Olmert is a perfect candidate. Therefore, whoever bribed Olmert (which happens to be an American by coincidence) will bribe anyone else to keep him as PM.
Looking at the bright side, no one is above the law in Israel. No matter how American-friendly that person/official is. |
