Just offer them Israeli citizenship to all of them, and they will, I am pretty sure of that, readily accept Israeli rule, like their brethren inside the Green Line, until, of course, we are, between the sea and the river, a Jewish minority finding ourselves - I mean those of us who are still here - having to live in a one-man-one-vote binational state, ruled by an Arab prime minister. Then, some curious children will ask their father, "Dad, you told us how, once in the past, we prevailed over three Arab armies, in six days only. How have we come to this?" And the father, "Well ... you see, some blockheads told us that to the victor go the spoil of war. And we all have been dumb enough to believe them." |
