You simply aren`t going to get that land, so give up and agree that Olmert can have it. Condi: "I do not, and the U.S. government does not, accept that anything done prior to agreement can ... present a fait accompli or determine the final outcome of this," Translation: Wake up to yourself, Olmert. This construction work LOOKS greedy, and IS greedy. Condi: "It`s not helpful," Translation: I am trying to get Abbas to concede the settlements, and politically he *can`t* *be* *seen* *to* *do* *that* while you keep expanding them. In short: Abbas: Concede. Olmert: You`re make it harder for Abbas to concede. I don`t like her endgame, but I can understand her gameplan. At least she`s got one. |
