| There is a new reality called Jewish settlement that is growing faster than any other population (Arab or Jewish) in the Land of Israel. The settlements in Judea and Samaria are built on barren hilltops and do not deprive Arabs of their homes. Jewish settlements are flourishing, while many Arab homes are unfinished or abandoned whose residents are abroad, but nonetheless counted for census purposes and scare tactics. On the other hand, construction in Jerusalem is not part of the settlement experience. Jerusalem is Israel`s capital and no part will be abandoned by a steadfast Israeli population. As the sirens wail and we stand in silence, we remember that Jews throughout the world were murdered with the words "Next Year in Jerusalem" on their lips. Let those clueless about Jewish attachment to the land of Israel offer their advice, while we build. |
