| "In any Israeli-Syrian deal, the model applied should be the Hatay model, not the Sinai model." (J. Stein) How do you suggest we should explain that to the Syrian leadership? How can`t you see that Israel is not Turkey? That the Turkish people is in no danger of finding itself, in a not so distant future, a minority ruled by an Arab prime minister? See #13 And how can you hope that one fine day Syria would agree to be the one and only Arab country to make its peace with the Jewish state, while willingly relinquishing into our hands even a small part of its sovereign land? Especially after the Sinai precedent? That`s way beyond my comprehension. |
