| Thank you Gideon Levy for writing this . I find your common sense so comforting and validating. Of course, you are right peace with Syria is uttely desireable and if you don`t mind my going beyond your humus- peace with Syria establishes some old jewish and ancient tracks and of course that not only goes for Syria but for what the Arab initative offers represents as a whole. So it`s a treasure of opportunities. There is no need for a referendum as everyone knows the score. This goes for the territories too and Menachem Begin recognized this also as he was prepared on one of his trips to Camp David to give up the territoies without consulting the Knessets. So let`s see some bold-ness from Israeli leaders. It should be perfectly acceptable to all. Dutch P. S. I will pass along your column to friends and post you on the American internet... |
