Iran has not invaded any country for as long as it exists as a nation state. But even if it were the aggressive power it is imagined to be, it would be utterly insane for Iran to attack a nuclear-armed Israel backed by an armed-to-the-teeth US. Yet still people here and elsewhere create an atmosphere of paranoia, telling us "we must strike now before it is too late".
It`s almost as if Israel can only feel safe if it annihilates all its neighbours. This of course isn`t only not feasible but also absolutely immoral. How about this, Israel takes a step back and makes peace with Syria, and Lebanon, and Iran??? Yes, this means giving up on the occupied territories. |
