| The Israel government`s recent gesture of weakness stating its intention to give away the Golan has ramifications of the domestic politics of Israel. The Druze population in the Golan realizes that they are better siding with Syria than Israel, because they will probably end up under Syrian control. Acts of disloyalty by the Druze not only in Golan, but all over the country, unless Israel can reestablish its image as a strong power against the Arabs. |
