| publishing it with annotations would only lead to a heavily weighted interpretation of the book. either allow for readers to interpret its content for themselves, publish both WITH annotations and WITHOUT them, or don`t publish it at all! one problem with annotations is that, considering the man and the horrors that were spawned by his rise to power, those doing the annotating will be heavily biased in their commentary, to the point of possibly distorting the actual content of the book. anyone who`s capable of reading and understanding doesn`t need someone else to "tell" them what something means or what to think. the ONLY purpose to be served by publishing an annotated version of this book is the one that is furthered by those who would annotate it... which explains WHY germany`s "central council of jews" is so willing...(or is it avid?)...to have it published with "its annotations". |
