| Bandar, this is an interesting issue you have raised. I have often wondered to what extent that Roman expulsion of the Jews was in reality. Genetic testing of the Palestinian poplulation shows the closest of all matches to Jews today. So what really happened to the vast majority of the Jewish population at the time of the supposed Roman expulsion? Are we really facing the situation that the reality of what is happening is that Jews are not fighting with Palestinians over the land, but (Jewish)brothers are fighting (Jewish) brothers? And what happened to the Jews who were left in Israel by the Romans: how was it that their Jewish identity became so easily obscured and forgotten? |
