When you say that "the leaks could also attest that Syria and Iran are not necessarily entwined when it comes to policy," you may be relying upon a persistent pattern of misrepresentation in the Israeli and disapora Jewish press, but the rest of the world is aware that Assad`s insistence that all negotiations be made public is intended to prevent Israel from itself `leaking` assertions to the effect that he is prepared to ditch his alliances in the Arab world.
