| It would be so ridiculous to give up golan hts!!! These are the reasons not to give up Golan!!! 1- Israel can watch directly all the way to Damascus from golan! 2- Golan has much of the water sources 3- The golan has been in Israel`s possession longer than it was in Syrian possession!! 4- With the Golan Syria is no threat to israrel because of the main obstacles - kav habitzurim! 5- Even if we don`t give up golan Syria isn`t a real threat - Syria is dirt poor and Israel`s airforce is way superior 6- without the golan in Israel`s hands, syria has a major strategic advantage 7- Syria is totally uninterested in peace - they house terror organizations and support hizbullah 8- As is today the syrian border is very stable why destabilize it? 9 - there is no demographic problem for Israel in the golan!! 10 - Syrria is controlled by a totalitarian minority sect and can potentially be overthrown. who guarantees that peace will continue with a different govt. |
