Between the lines I can distinctly read that you have great difficulty with the fact the boys are Ashkenazim. I know from Israeli papers they are member of the kibbutz. Their names and looks are Ashkenazim and not Arabs or Mizrahim. But this is not the point.
I hope the court will punish them severely (the maximum) for more serious reasons. Israel has to face sharp decline in it’s popularity in the world. Most insurance companies in Europe have had declared Israel a risky area and do not extract travel insurance for the country. People do not go there if not necessary. The Danes – as always – had proved otherwise. The parents of the girls were not afraid to send their daughters for a medical treatment to Israel and Danish tourists are still coming. What the boys had done can indirectly harm tourism and business relations with countries Israel needs.
King Hussein of Jordan did understand that. His policy was: harming tourism is harming the interests of Jordan. |
