Especially for promises the Syrians have not in any clear way demonstrated they will keep.
Their are other benefits besides land that can be offered for a partnership of some kind.
Moreover, in consistent Arab /Pal fashion, they would rather the world only pay attention to the supposed "transgressions" of israel while ignoring all of theirs, which are both of greater in magnitude and frequency. Subsequently, it is they who would like the world to forget how that land was lost and won, under what circumstances and by what events. |
