| When the Oslo agreement was signed, what did Israel do to show good intent? It increased the number of settlements fivefold. Hamas and the Palestinians know that Israel can never be trusted to keep its words. Only outside pressure from ordinary civilians around the world is going to bring the Israelis to the negotiating table. When they do, we will watch them like a hawk. |
