| And which Arab public places would you be talking about? Our numerous parks and playgrounds? Our vast soccer fields, how about our too-many-to-name public swimming pools? Oh wait. I forgot. We don`t have any of those things. We have enough taxes to make sure our traffic islands are, gasp, clean and well maintained, but we don`t have the LAND to build public places, including parks where children can play. This is not a tax issue, it is a planning issue in which Arabs have very little say. While settlements in the West Bank can be expanded due to "natural growth" we are not allowed any such luxury. |
