| It is very difficult to not to get discouraged when a positive story is responded to with racist remarks. Mikey went to a town once and saw garbage, therefore Arabs don`t care and like to live in dirt. Mr. Tosefta and Ofer, both obviously not Arab, seems to think he/she is an expert on Arab culture. I have lived in an Arab town for 9 years and commute to a large city everyday for work. Empty fields, Arab or otherwise are always filled with garbage. Parks, beaches, and other public places are always disgusting. The problem with garbage is not the fault of Arabs. It is the mentality here. If people cared so much about the environment here, why do they continue to do nothing about the toxic air in the Haifa Bay Area? Or stop dumping carcinogenic chemicals into the Kishon River? Planting non-indigenous trees, drying up swamps, installing garbage incinerators were not the idea of Arabs. Arabs had absolutely no say in the implementation of this environmental destruction |
