| To the best of knowledge, the Agreement was renewed. The Agreement did not give control to Israel. The entire purpose was to allow the PA to learn how to enforce customs laws. If Israel had control, al-Zahari and his people would not have been allowed to leave Gaza to meet Carter in Egypt. Nor was Egypt part of this agreement for the Gaza side of the border. The PA, under the supervision of the EU, was in charge of the Gaza side of the border. |
