The outrage about "unproportinal responce" and "value of jewish life more than palestinian" is clearly misplaced. Look , if Hamas or Hezbollah thought that palestinian life just as precious as jewish, they would surely go for one-to-one exchange of prisoners, meaning one low ranked militant for Shalit, 2 middle ranked militants for 2 israeli soldiers in Lebanon. Otherwise there is no need for anybody to keep the score, like Mr. Carter does in his book.
Would be much easier to achive positives if palestinians valued their lives higher, but there would be no Hamas, I think |
