Franco, don`t worry, I`m not cheering on the "left" in good old Italy, I know only too well about their chronic inability to keep a governe- ment together. But I just think it is rather amazing that the Italians gave Berlusconi a third chance to finally become the long awaited Italian political "messiahs".
If he couldn`t do it with 60, why should he be able to bring the necessary political and economical reforms with 71....????
And with regard to Mrs. Nirenstein, I have based my judgement solely on this article, but all I can tell you is this:
If in Switzerland a politician would run with an Israel-only platform (or whatever country...) and declare that she is otherwise not really interested into local Swiss politics, she would probably make about 100 votes....
And that`s a rather optimistic estimate...:) |
