"I don`t understand people who occupied the territories in the war and afterwards are serving the aims of the enemy they had fought against." (David Rabkin)
The enemy we fought against, in June `67, was not the Palestinian people. Then, we fought against the armies of three of our neighbours, two of them are now living in peace alongside Israel.
This David Rabkin says he wants "to improve" himself." Good idea. Let him buy himseld a brain. Then he will perhaps understant that our enemies are very pleased with the occupation. It only helps them gain ground. Hamas was only an obscure welfare organisation whose name no one had heard until 1988, when it was allowed by our own leaders, the fools, to emerge on the scene, hopefully to be a rival to PLO. Divide et impera. The scheme succeeded so well that Hamas is now in full control of the Gaza Strip, of its border with Egypt, and of the Palestinian parliament. One day it may also control Jerusalem, if its Mayor Lupolianski, not exactly a defeatist spinless self-hating far leftist is to be believed. "Hamas may conquer Jerusalem within 12 years, says mayor" www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3399097,00.html
David Rabkin and his buddy Moshe Feiglin would then still be planning to rebuild a third Temple in place of the Dome of the Rock, and to gather a Sanhedrin to lord over Israel.
"Time is against us. Demographically, it works for the Palestinians, and politically, in favor of Hamas and the settlers." Ami Ayalon, Dec 22, 2001, in "Former Israeli Shin Bet Head Speaks up for Peace" www.fmep.org/analysis/articles/former_israeli_shin_bet.html |
