Sixty years and I`m supposed to identify witjh the state? Don`t get me wrong. I still think that the statehas to exist from aninternational and a wider Jewish (diaspora) perspective. However, as a citizen, how am am I supposed to relate to fellow Chametz `fressing` citizens? Fopr me as a Jew for Pessach means the founding of our people as a people these people rereset the `wicked son` of the Hagaddah, that if he were in Egypt, he wouldn`t have been redeemed.
I recog nize ideologically Israel as a Jewish state, not as a Middle Eastern Birobijan. This unbridled liberalism justifies religious Jews from building their own religious ghetto as a state wihin a state. No one can criticize our apathy. |
