| I made two trips to Ethiopia in 1985 and 1986 as a volunteer for the Canadian Association for Ethipian Jews. This was when Israel was slow to rescue the real Jews. My concern then as it is now was for those who maintained their traditions in the face of awful discrimination, not for those who had abandoned their roots generations ago. |
