| The same that happened concerning the Klarsfeld exhibition about the involvement of the German Railways with the Holocaust is now repeated with the train of remembrance. What has been possible on major train stations in France would bite off more than the Germans can chew, at least according to Deutsche Bahn. So the exhibition as well as now the train were confined to second-class stations with much less traffic and public. For a long time the exhibition and now the train encountered many obstacles from leading managers of German Railways and the organizers of the exhibition and the train had to accept a compromise. It is to be hoped that children of the victims of the Holocaust will sue German Railways for the fare they took for the chartered trains to death. |
