or a call from the gaza side? woke you up, didn`t i? question IS though: which of these two REALLY woke up the idf first? "at the same time, the palestinian working on the gaza side of the terminal telephoned his israeli counterpart and warned him of the attack" well now imagine THAT! kind of throws a monkey wrench into the rhetoric of all the hard core "kill-em-all" mentalities that are so prolific in these talkbacks. and it lays bare the misleading line that israel tries to sell the world about the palestinians not being capable (and/or trustworthy), enough of fulfilling their responsibilities and obligations. it`s too bad that this stereotypical view that judges ALL palestinians by the activities and philosophies of the extremists among them, permeates the idf and the israeli government. this palestinian is NOT just an isolated exception to the rule. he represents a vastly growing number of palestinians who stepping forward in an attempt to make a difference; and they take their responsibilities seriously. the sad thing about it...is that more often than not these palestinians...whether those involved in border security, policemen, palestinian security forces, and government officials...treated as inept and incapable by the israelis. they`re ignored, bullied, ridiculed, suspected and maligned; and yet they`re just as capable and responsible to the administration of their positions, as are their israeli counterparts, if given the chance to do so.... but israel and its agents consistently DENY them that. |
