It wasn`t because Hezbollah was too hard for Israel to beat that Israel failed to achieve something significant during the war. It`s rather because the IDF has totaly decayed ever since it`s last real major war in 1982.
I hope Israel really has learnt from the lessons taught during the last war. Because what`s for sure, is that if there is another war with Hezbollah, Israel will have to face many more missiles that can reach almost all over Israel.
In case Israel does enter a new war, it must not hesitate to send it`s full army into combat and if needed, throw out all the population it has conquered. Otherwise, it will only be faced with more guerrila attacks and will never be able to end the fighting. |
