I understand that the family would want to bury him in the family plot, may his soul rest in peace. I also believe that anyone who serves in the IDF should be buried in an IDF cemetery, not only Jews. This is a matter of defending the State and its citizens, of which a good proportion are not Jews. They should have that option, instead of having a military cemetery in the village, though of course, the family would like to be close, so as to visit the grave. May G-d bless their sacrifice. It`s really sad. But as the article mentioned, "with pride and excellence"...
