slightly off-topic, I know, but I was wondering if any of you TalkBack experts could enlighten me. I often see the word `Pal` or `Pals` to describe Palestinians, usually in a rather negative context (e.g. comment 11 on this thread). Is `Pal` now a derogatory term, rather like `Paki` in England being an abbreviation most would now shun? There is some talk of "Be a Pal" becoming the strap-line for a pro-Palestinian event; is this a good idea or are they shooting themselves in the foot?
