| Previous to the "Al Aqsa" intifada, Barghoutti was the Israeli Left`s prize poodle. Sure, he is no beauty, but he had learned how to sit, role over and say the things the Left wanted to hear. Here was a Pal radical who knew how to hold a fork. Trouble is, when the moment of truth came, & he could have played a role in keeping the intifada from turning into a suicidal RAVE, Marwan chose to lead his fighters into war. I remember his many interviews on CNN, BBC and the Israeli press, where he urged his fighters to kill as many Jews as possible, whilst praising his shahids (martyrs) who were willing to blow themselves for the HONOUR of the nation. Now that the Al Aqsa, the religious version of Palestinian jingoism has been defeated, he is once again wagging his tail and curling up to his "Peace Now" friends. Hoping that his big brown eyes, and table manners will find him a place once again in the Leftist heart. We can only judge each other by actions, words are cheap. |
