Israeli law conforms with the principles of Nuremberg, land under occupation cannot be taken from private property owners except for military needs. In such a case, Israeli law does not transfer ownership of the land. The Nuremberg principles don`t provide either for confiscation, only use for military necessity. Rather, the land is technically rented. And rent is supposed to be paid.
The private property owners of what was Homesh have sued for the back rent.

Recognition of this principle of International and Israeli law is not collaborating with the occupation. You guys should be using the Israeli courts to get the back rent paid at the new, improved value, plus the ongoing rent will need to be paid, until the land is returned to the private owners.
At some point, the Israeli government will see the treasury drained to pay the rent and probably pass the rent on to the settlers or remove the settlers for nonpayment. |
