How glibly and easily you write that the "Nazis killed not only 3 millions of Polish Jews, but almost 3 millions of ethnic Poles as well?" The murder of Jews was systematic, planned and orchestrated by an entire Nazi apparatus and their local enablers. The murders of Jews in the Polish graveyards was in addition to more than 3,000,000 from other European countries murdered. The murder of "ethnic Poles" (where did you get that number?) was tragic and sad, but not part of a systematic campaign of annihilation. Secondly, Marcin, I have less difficulty in reading and English "test" (sic) than you have writing. Tusk`s grandfather`s later role does not excuse his earlier predicament. Poles far more honorable and courageous than him acted differently. I know, because my father and two sisters were saved by such a noble Pole. However, two of his brothers were murdered by other Poles (notably, members of the supposedly respectful Armia Krajova). |
