It is not astounding that so very many in Europe - and else where - managed to forget their affiliations, affinities and even membership in Fascist organizations during the 1920s, `30s and 1940s.

How quickly folks as diverse as Henry Ford and Prescott Bush forgot their ties to Hitler. How soon the British could manage to ignore the actions of a certain prince and consort. Israeli`s are not quick to remember that Yair Stern offered a military alliance with Hitler during WW II, and that one of his fascist followers later became Prime Minister.

I think it is well that people know real history instead of comfortable mythologies, but I do not think it is wise to blame those who did nothing wrong and did not live at the time with the crimes and misdemeanors of their fathers.
