| 1. See Response #3 - AM/PM could have chosen to forgo the Haredi market, and keep their stores open on Shabbat. They didn`t. 2. Personally, my main issue with stores, etc being open on Shabbat is that people (usu those with less job skills, and therefore less bargaining power) will be forced to work on Shabbat if they want to have a job. 3. Who says you can`t have a picnic in the park on Shabbat? I know many religious ppl who have Shabbat lunch picnics. |
