many people on the receiving end of this rhetoric may be amused to learn that its crudity is deliberate : pundits such as bernard lewis have established the guidelines for a national hasbara style, which will presumably continue until changed, and proceeds on the axiom that Asians of all sorts fundamentally need to be talked to like savages, and will indeed be GRATEFUL for such honest and hearty sppech styles, as opposed to the namby-pamby "politically correct" speech used by "striped pants boys" (i.e., diplomats).
