Thats what you get, when politics and religion are not parted in countries. And when ultra-orthodox can blackmail a nation into things. Who forces them to go shopping on Sabbath? Noone. Why dont they try to convince their fellow-citizens (oh, sorry, forgot, that many of them do not recognize Israel as a State, well, so they do not really have FELLOW-Citizens, right) of their religion. In a democratic country they are free to convince people of their believes. And for all the rest: Let people live their religion as they want to live it. At least thats how it works in countries, where religion is what it should be: A private matter of the people. Not forced on them by the State. |
