I agree Margie. Lebanese Jews were openly who they were until the 80s, when they started being a target in the Lebanese civil war. Then they started leaving the country, just like other Lebanese, with the dcifference that their community had no political leaders to defend it... so they (almost) all left. I know some of those who remain... they never say they are jewwish, because they obviously fear being viewed/treated as israelis (which they are not), or pro-israelis (which they probably are not).
