Has anyone asked why Israel is still a military state? Why has it not seen a peaceful year since its questionable creation? Why isn`t anyone asking, how Israel can live in peace?
The answer is simple. More than 2 million Palestinian refugees,some of whom are still yearning to go back to their homes in Palestine and though that would probably not take place, all yearn for a home taken from them illegally by the celebrating State of Israel. Celebrating an anniversary should usually be a happy occasion. But watching others celebrate over their lost homes, it`s salt on the wound. More like a Wake. The Palestians will also be celebrating the Nakba; which is their true and annual anniversary of never forgetting. And the point is, being at war for 60 years is not a cause for celebration; it`s a cause for awakening.Israel can celebrate its first true "Happy" and legitimate anniversary next year when and if it faces reality and grant the Palestinians their legitimate 1967 border State back. |
