The UN could prevent unnecessary deaths by Palestinian rockets if they pressured Hamas to simply respect the UN charter and international law stop attacking Israeli civilians.
Then again, the UN could also build and staff hospitals in Gaza so Gazans wouldn`t need to go to Israel for treatment.
With all the money the UN and WHO waste on their bloated bureaucracies, there could be a dozen top notch medical facilities in Gaza. Then again, there could be peace in Darfur. But then, that would require the UN to be effective and spend more time working and less time condemning Israel. |
