| Erik I think it would help to remember that originally the Jewish state was alotted 45% of the available land by the UN in 1947 for a Jewish state, while the Arab Palestinians, who vastly outnumbered Jews (roughly 80% to 20% give or take)were alloted just over half. The Palestinians rejected it not because they hate Jews or are refusing to compromise, but because they understandably were being required to sacrifice almost half their land while they outnumbered Jews almost 4 to 1! All they ask now is to control the 23% of the land that comprises the West Bank and Gaza strip. In war, the loser very often loses territory (i.e. Germany), but Israel already controls the other 77%. I`d say you guys won. Do you really need to rub it in? And you wonder why you are hated by some... |
