The USA still has to persuade foreigners to take vast rafts of US dollar-denominated Treasury notes to fund their vast appetite for imported goods. They have to hope that these foreigners are idiots and won`t try to offload them at the ealiest money on international money markets. If you believe that there won`t be even a marginal reduction in their willingness to squirrel away US paper, buy dollars. Note: in January the US external deficit was over $58,000,000,000. My advice: do not be suckered into the stock market at the moment. Vastly more gruesome bodies are due to fall out of cupboards before this is all over. |
