The terrorist went to this specific yeshiva because he (and his supporters) knew that his cruel act would increase the enimosity between Jews and Arabs. He wanted to `prove` the cruelty of their opponents because cruel and injust repraisals by the Israelis against innocent Palestiniasn would show that Israel is a cruel and injust oppressor and Jews are racists.
And what do the Rabbies DO? They COMPLETELTY act according to the wishes of the terrorist: they unjustly punish innocent Palestinians for the crime of the terrorist and prove that to them, ALL Palestinians are terrorists ANYWAY.
This in turn will make some moderate Palestinians decide that if Israel considers them terrorists anyway, they could just as well fit the picture and actually commit terror crimes. They are punished for it anyway, whether they commit the crime or not!
And so the cycle of violence continues, and hatred will only increases. I thought these Rabbis were such intelligent people? |
