"The two leaders decided to advance the initiative and will try to enlist other states to back it, including the United States, France, Britain, Russia and China, as well as other European states and Arab countries that are threatened by Iran`s nuclear program." - Haartez

A nice Olmert idea, otherwise known as empty talk. If all 5 permanent members of the Security Council come, who needs the summit? Just make the measures obligatory. And will any Arab country show up in a summit organized by Israel, when Israel is hardly moving on the peace talks?

This is just empty talk. If a summit is to be organized, it will need the US to be involved and Israeli role hidden. It will probably not involve all permanent members of the UNSC but mostly western countries who would be willing to voluntarily put economic pressure on Iran. The best one could hope is that the Russians and Chinese will promise not to rush in and pick up all the deals that the West would be relinquishing.

It is just irritating to hear of another Olmert pipe dream which he probably knows is only a dream.
