Desalinization plants cost money and take resources, while continuing the same failed systems of looting the environment cost, until they fail, nothing.
Israel has the technology to desalinate the Mediterranean Sea (although it, too, is salting up as the Aswan Dam has cut off its water supply). What`s missing is the money, and a national will, otherwise occupied with war. If Israel and the Palestinians don`t come to peace, they will all die of thirst and leave a poisoned land behind. Arabs and Jews are cutting their own throats by not focusing on their real `life and death` priorities. |
